ABOUT ME

I am an Israeli writer and non-profit professional currently based in Tel Aviv. I was born on an Israeli kibbutz, and I grew up moving from city to city in different corners of the world. My love for literature took me to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, where I studied Philosophy and Comparative Literature, and later to Bar Ilan University, where I enrolled in the Master's program in Creative Writing and English Literature. Since my early days as a student in Jerusalem, I was drawn to different social causes. I was first involved as an activist, then as an NGO worker, and I eventually acquired my Master's in International Development Studies. I have since mostly worked with refugee communities in East Africa and Israel. My work took me to different countries including Uganda and Kenya, where I served as Country Director for IsraAID after co-founding the Jerusalem African Community Center. After returning to Israel, I later woked as a the Africa Programs Officer for IsraAID and served as the CEO of the African Refugee Development Center in Tel Aviv. I currently work as an independent consultant offering strategy, fundraising, and program evaluation services to non-profits and philanthropic orgranizations.

In my free time, I try to make room for what has always been my passion - writing. My work has appeared in various publications and literary magazines including The Jerusalem Post, Arc, Caesura, and The Ilanot Review.
